Blog

The ethymology of the term ‘blog’ is derived from ‘web-log’, namely: Web-based diary. It is a website on which it is possible to publish hypertext content in chronological order (each article, post or publication states the date on which it is created) and is used to talk about themselves and the activity taking place. Established as a platform to tell online, it is now used for the same purpose, but not only by private individuals; It has become one of the most economical and used marketing tools, together with social networks. Through the blog, you can develop your digital reputation and increase traffic on your website. It is a very useful tool to present themselves to the digital public and to build a personal or corporate image, as it makes it possible to publish anything you want at any time.

Bot, robot e spider

There are three different scripts which, through web-browsing, allow the analysis and processing of data from one or more websites. Their functions are similar to those that a human being could do, but they are automated in their performance, making them simpler and quicker for the user who uses them.

Content marketing

Content marketing is a web marketing branch that exploits the creation of targeted content to promote its business. The content manager employs a strategy to increase users and thus increase their business through the production of hypertext editorial content that can capture the attention of the entire target audience. This technique is intended for users of websites, blogs and social networks, which facilitate the dissemination of virtual content through sharing.

CRM - Customer Relationship Management

Customer Relationship Management is management software that allows a company to organise and make data available online. As the name suggests, they are used by companies that aim to keep customers at the centre of their business and who need to have at all times within reach the information of each of them, broken down into different categories. With this marketing tool, it will remain much easier to trace users, study their tastes, uses and interests, analyse the behaviour of similar groups and act with the most appropriate strategy. This is thanks to the support of IT, which speeds up the process, and the web, on which data can be retrieved whenever needed.

Cyberspace

The term consists of the prefix ‘cyber’, which means the digital reality and the suffix ‘space’: In practice, it is the intangible space where humans and computers meet and sometimes merge. Cyberspace is the whole digital world and is therefore populated by all world users who use the network every day. A kind of public area, which allows it to carry out usual actions, interactions, communications and exchanges as in reality, but through the mediation of computer support. Going online offers many advantages, including: Cancellation of physical distances, minimisation of time, limitation of costs and ability to “meet” a very large number of individuals.

Domain authority

The DA is an indicator of the importance of website domains. The scale, ranging from 0 to 100, has been developed by MOZ software and helps users to check the reliability and authority of their website. The tool is useful to analyse one of the factors considered essential by search engines for indexing: The higher the number reached and the more likely it is to get out of the first results.

Lead generation

Lead generation is an action aimed at creating a list of potential clients for a web marketing strategy. After a thorough search for people interested in the type of product or service offered, a contact database will be established to target targeted advertisements, proposals and offers. Compared to other marketing strategies, this is more likely to be successful as an upstream screener has been made, retaining only those with a strong motivation to buy (or to carry out the required action).

Malware

Malware is a harmful software that aims to cause problems to web users. It is a simple computer program developed for malicious purposes, such as stealing private information and sensitive data, disappealing and insisting advertisements, and sending whole digital systems and devices to tilt. Malware is spread via the network (just open an infected site to infect our PC) or by switching any file or program from one device to another (e.g. pen drive). When connecting to unsecured networks or downloading uncertified programmes, the risk is much higher.

Open source

Open source software is the software whose developers have made the source code publicly available, i.e. the computer text that allows it to function. This gives the opportunity to anyone who is able to study it and make changes to it for improvement or customisation. They are usually free of charge programmes that any user can easily obtain and use, bypassing large manufacturing companies that market more complex and very expensive versions. The most classic example is Microsoft’s Office package (which requires an annual subscription payment), which is very often replaced by its open source rivals such as Open Office, LibreOffice or similar.

PCI e SSL

Peripheral Component Interconnect and Secure Sockets Layer are electronic systems that allow secure connection between two or more devices. Encrypted communication protocols can protect your website or the tool you can access by preventing other users from becoming aware of our sensitive data. They are mainly applied to online shopping sites, to protect credit card numbers and other risky items.

Social network

Social networks are online platforms created to foster direct social interaction between individuals from anywhere in the world. It is the informal media par excellence, through which it can be discussed and shared with anyone, whether known or not. It is created as a tool to connect physically distant users and to allow those who have something important to say to do so in public, but virtual. Among the most widely used are:
– Facebook — the first ever;
– Twitter — Short social media, which allows messages of up to 140 characters;
– Instagram — the social media of ‘immediate’ photos;
– Pinterest – another social media dedicated to photos;
– LinkedIn – dedicated to job profiles.
To join one of them, you need to create an identity and start to interact with the other users of the same platform. The words for the best management of digital “I” are: Sharing and informality. They are all for free use and, if used in the right way, can bring huge economic and digital benefits.

Tag, title, meta

TAG, title and meta data are destinations for information used by anyone who creates or operates a website. They are provided at the stage of development, or later, to index individual web pages on search engines. Their function is to provide additional information to make it easier for end-users to search, without overburdening visible content: The user is not shown during navigation.

User experience

The term ‘user experience’ in Italian means ‘user experience’ and means precisely what our client proves against our product or service. It underpins one of the most personalised marketing techniques and can also apply to the public online. In order to do so, a user must be impersonated during a real user experience, from the moment of choice to the stage following the purchase in which he or she may need assistance. First of all, we need to search for the most appropriate target for what we offer and, once chosen, analyse it from a psychological, perceptive and emotional point of view. On the basis of the results achieved throughout the pathway, subsequent actions should be adapted to improve the usability of the customer and to increase the number of customers due to their greater satisfaction.

User friendly

The English term in Italian is translated as ‘easy to use’, although it is not a literal translation. The original way of saying is composed of ‘user’, meaning user, and ‘friendly’, which means amicable. In fact, it means that a computer medium can be easily used by anyone, even by those who do not have any specific knowledge or experience with it. In the case of a website, user-friendly means that it is intuitive and easy to navigate.
